NH Primary Source: Five GOP activists endorse Bolduc for US Senate

BOLDUC ENDORSEMENTS. Republican Don Bolduc has received endorsements this week from five activists and business leaders in his bid for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Democratic U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen.

Backing the retired U.S. Army Brigadier General are former Hillsborough County Treasurer and longtime conservative leader Bob Burns of Bedford, who ran for the U.S. House in 2018 and had a key role on the Donald Trump presidential campaign in 2016 as coalitions chair.

“Don Bolduc shares my commitment to bring pharmaceutical manufacturing back to our country and cease the outsourcing of critical healthcare materials to China. This is an issue of national security and public health, and I look forward to working with Don when he’s in the U.S. Senate,”

Also backing Bolduc are former state Rep. Shaun Doherty of Pelham; Newton Select Board member Matthew Burrill; U.S. Marine Corps veteran Chris Pierce of Franklin and business owner Jim Hurst of Gilmanton.

“I know Don will be a true voice for New Hampshire and not special interests. I believe Republicans need to unite behind this American hero as he is the only person who can beat Jeanne Shaheen in November,” Burrill said.

Bolduc said in a statement: “The path to victory in November will be forged by people who understand the stakes and the character it will take to make a difference in Washington. I am grateful that these honorable Granite Staters will assist in forging that path.”
