BOLDUC’S ‘BAD ASS’ VIDEO. Retired Brig. Gen Don Bolduc’s new online campaign video was described to us as “edgy” by a supporter. And that’s a pretty accurate description.
The ad, complete with a deep-voiced narrator, talks about Republican U.S. Senate military career. We first reported the ad on Twitter this week.
The flavor of the video is clear from the first line, with the narrator saying: “In the early days after 9/11, he rode into Afghanistan on horseback to hunt terrorists and attack the Taliban.”
“Brave as hell. Tough as nails,” the narrator says, as photos of Bolduc in uniform (with the necessary military non-endorsement disclaimer) appear on the screen.
Bolduc is also called “the first general in American history to come forward with PTS (post-traumatic stress), inspiring thousands more to get critical help.”
“Don Bolduc has made the motto of our state the story of his life,” the narrator says.
“If you want more of the same, look somewhere else,” the narrator says. “But if you want a true American ‘bad ass,’ who won’t back down, Don Bolduc is ready to ride.”
Meanwhile, Bolduc was endorsed this week by first-term U.S. Rep. Michael Waltz of Florida, a Special Forces veteran and Green Beret, and former Ambassador Eric Javits, who served during the administration of former President George W. Bush.
Waltz said that Bolduc is a hero and “understands that less government and more freedom are what truly make America great.” Javits called Bolduc “a selfless, dedicated patriot.”
